🔥 The Fire-Damage Restoration Process
This restoration wasn’t about a simple clean — it was about saving a grail-level sneaker from what most would call a total loss. Here's how we tackled it step by step:
1️⃣ Midsoles First – Stainless Steel Scrub
We started with the Revive Kicks Shoe Cleaner and Stainless Steel Brush, carefully detailing the midsoles to remove hardened ash and debris.
2️⃣ Lathering the Uppers – Soft Touch & Lift
Using our Revive Kicks Soft Bristle Brush, we lathered up the leather and mesh uppers to lift embedded soot and fire residue, followed by a gentle wipe-down using our Microfiber Towel to preserve the leather finish without fading the color.
3️⃣ Mesh Cleaning – Gentle but Deep
For the mesh sections, we continued using the Soft Bristle Brush to avoid scratching. As the cleaner worked its way in, we used our microfiber towel to blot out the lifted stains.
4️⃣ Heavy Lifting – Mesh Scrub + Steamer
For stubborn burn marks and embedded grime, we used our Mesh Scrub and Steamer, flushing out the stains and loosening deeply embedded dirt without damaging the materials.
5️⃣ Outsole & Interior Detailing
The Stainless Steel Brush made a comeback on the outsoles to break through hardened buildup. Then we cleaned the interior lining with our soft brush and steamer — ensuring no smells or residue remained.
6️⃣ UV Dry + Leather Conditioning
Once cleaned, we placed the shoes in our UV light box overnight to deoxidize the soles and brighten any yellowed areas. The next morning, we finished by applying leather conditioner to restore softness and shine.
✅ The end result? These grails went from trashed to trophy-worthy — overnight.
