💡 What Causes Yellowed Soles?
When sneakers like Jordan 11s sit out in display cases or are exposed to UV light, heat, or oxygen, they go through a chemical reaction known as oxidation. This is what causes translucent or icy soles to turn yellow, especially on older pairs or shoes with exposed rubber sections.

🧼 Our Process to Reverse Oxidation
1️⃣ Deep Cleaning to Prep the Sole
We started by thoroughly scrubbing the affected shoe using our Revive Kicks Shoe Cleaner and soft bristle brush, breaking down any dirt or buildup that could interfere with the oxidation reversal process.
2️⃣ Multi-Day UV Light Treatment
After the shoe was fully prepped, we placed it into our UV light box — an in-house setup used to safely reverse oxidation. Over the course of a few days, the UV light worked with our cleaning agents to break down the yellowing and restore the sole to its original icy clarity.
