In today’s Instagram video, we took on a seriously fire-damaged pair of Jordan 11 Concords that came to us completely covered in ash, soot, and smoke residue. The shoes were nearly unrecognizable after surviving a house fire — but with our full lineup of Revive Kicks tools, we brought them back to life.

🔥 Full Breakdown: House Fire Sneaker Restoration
1️⃣ Surface Cleaning to Expose Hidden Damage
We started with Revive Kicks Shoe Cleaner and our soft bristle brush to carefully remove the thick surface layer of ash and smoke residue. Once cleaned, the deeper damage and staining underneath was revealed.
2️⃣ Steam Penetration & Deep Flush
We used our steamer to open the materials and loosen embedded stains caused by smoke and chemical exposure.
Next, we loaded our spot cleaning gun with Revive Kicks Shoe Cleaner to flush stains from within the mesh and fabric layers, targeting the damage that normal surface cleaning can’t reach.
3️⃣ Targeted Area Restoration

Leather heel panels were restored using a melamine sponge, which safely removed stubborn residue without scratching the patent leather

Midsoles and outsoles were detailed using our steel bristle brush for deeper grime

Acetone was applied carefully to remove long-set staining on the midsoles without affecting the paint
4️⃣ Sanitizing & Odor Neutralization
Once visually clean, we sprayed down the shoes with our disinfectant + deodorizer, neutralizing any lingering smoke smell, bacteria, or toxins absorbed during the fire exposure.
5️⃣ UV Light Oxidation Reversal
We placed the Concords into our Revive Kicks UV box overnight to:
✅ Reverse oxidation
✅ Whiten yellowed areas
✅ Speed up safe drying
✅ Kill any remaining microbes
✅ End result: a grail pair of Jordan 11s revived from fire damage and ready to wear again.
